This was the fifth Peoria T.T. that Dick Mann and his BSA have captured.
And possibly his most impressive win yet.
He lapped more than half of the 16 riders on the field to take home his
second straight national victory in a row. The fourth national win this year for
BSA.

But Mann's first place finish wasn't the only great performance.
Jim Rice, also on a "Beezer" was the fastest of the qualifiers.
To date BSA riders have captured 3 AMA mile wins and a T.T. first.
