Rookie sets
new l-Iap record
in time trials.
Rookie Gary Scott, who has been knocking
on the door all season, finally got in at
Castle Rock. He took the lead for good an
lap 7 of the 25-lap event, and opened it
up steadily to win going away. And on the
way, Gary set a new single lap record of
24.09 seconds in the trials. .
It was a day of Triumph all around. Mark
Williams, Chuck Joiner and Terry Dorschall aboard Triumphs-finished 3rd, 4th
and 7th, respectively. When you ride a
Triumph, you ride The Hot One.
