New Berlin, New York, July 16, 1972 - in a tough rain-soaked race,
Yamaha continued to make motocross history with
their fourth consecutive Inter-AMA International Motocross victor.y!
Under the riding leadership of Yamaha Factory Team rider Arne Lindfors,
Yamaha dominated the two 45-minute 250cc motos for a decisive overall victory.
The first moto was won by Yamaha Factory Team rider Torsten Hallman,
followed by team mates Arne Lindfors, Gary Jones and Jimmy Weinert
in 2nd, 3rd and 4th places respectively.
The second race was rough going all the way due to rainy weather,
but Yamaha pulled through with a second place finish by Arne Lindfors,
followed by teammates Gary Jones and Jimmy Weinert.
The overall victory roster was a sweep for Yamaha: Arne Lindfors
first~ Gary Jones second, Torsten Hallman third, and Jimmy Weinert fourth.
Another four in a row for Yamaha! And in the open class competition, Yamaha Factory
Team rider Dewayne Jones won the overall victory on his 360MX.
The next time you read a victory roster, remember: for every Yamaha that wins,
there's a real close cousin you can buy at your Yamaha dealer.
And every Yamaha Street Machine, Enauro and MX incorporates what we learn.:
in competition so you're buying a bike with a winner's heritag~.
The great machines that win, make the great machines you can buy.
The most repeated name on the victory roster•
