, .. One of the goodies still in the offing is a speedway track at Orange County International Raceway for second and third division riden only. Work on the track is~continuing but there is no firm opening date set as of yet. ~ - • • • "' If your van is gobbling too much petrol and you can't fake your motocrosser as street legal, even to the friendliest cop, you could look into the CMC's upcoming Hi-Performance series. First prize is a new Honda car. All you have to do is get the most points in three months as the races alternate between Saddleback, Carlsbad, and the new Arroyo Park. * * ~ w Z W ...J . U > U ~. ~~. . .... ~ * NOTES ON THE TWO·WHEELED SUMMIT: We received a press release advising us that soon the new Russian motorcycles would be available in the US of A. One excerpt from the release notifies all and sundry that "THE PLANETA-3, a 350cc motorcycle with a 4-speed transmission, promises to be the biggest threat to the Honda-Yamaha market". Second is Rick Woods, third is brother Steve. • • • Ralph V>!heelright (that sounds like a phoney name if we ever heard one) went out cow·trailing in Kern County recently on his Bultaco. Astounding! Read on. White riding on said Bul, he blantantly met another bull, the horny type, which was seen leaping off a five·foot emban kment the same time . Wheelright was coming up to the very spot. Anyway, we think Huskies are next. * * * First rider poll of the year: Husky riders only. One Husky is a Husky. Two or more should be spelled Huskys or Huskies? Which way? That's one that drives us crazy (and you know how crazy we are, don't you?). Come on, fellas (and gals), let us know how you want us to spell 'em. 'Dress it to Two-Doggies Rider Poll, c/o Sickle News, you know the rest. Do it today so we can clear up this pressing problem which has the whole industry confused. Don't delay. Hey, do-dah, do-
