Forty-five top-rated riders from 20 states came to Washington, Indiana's Snyder Park for the June 11 Moto-cross events. At stake, purses totaling $4,000. But even more important, qualifying points for the 250cc winner in the Inter-AMA Summer Moto-cross Series. Gary Bailey of Torrance, California, riding a Bultaco, turned in the latest win for the newGoodyear Eagle MX tire. He took two Ists and a 3rd in the three moto Heats. And that solid performance took the money, the 250cc trophy and the National points. The new Eagle MX tire is built to win. With a super-tough rubber compound that has exceptional tear resistance - to keep a biting edge on the lugs. It has 4 plies of nylon cord in its speciallydesigned body - cord that's toughened by Goodyear's triple-tempering process to take the hardest jumps in stride. And its deep, sturdy Moto-grip- lugs wrap right around the tire's shoulder to bite arid hold when you're going through the corners. The special contours and spacing of the lugs make them dig ,.----, deep in mud or sand, and clean out fast. Your Goodyear Motorcycle Tire Dealer should have the Eagle MX in both 400-18 and 450-18 sizes. See him soon and start riding America's new off-road winner.
