It's a slow pro cess getting th in gs lik e thi s th rough peoples' head s because the majori ty of th e ri ders aren't sponsored and thi nk that all th e top run ners are an d th ey won't b e able to beat th em anyway, o r th eir hu m ble opinions don 't coun t. Well, this year it looks as if th e bird h as come home to nest and t his w ill make me some friends an d no doubt lo se me some , too, b ut b e tha t as it may. T h e n umber o ne plate in District motocross will go t o Joh n Ric e, a sponsored rid er w ho ma kes all t he GP's and I b elieve this year has possib ly ridden aro und three or four Dist ric t m o to crosses. The motocross p oin ts are paid according to th e percentage of the n umber of best rides, a sys tem I believe th e incom ing Com p etition Committee will cha nge, as Tony has actually earned more points than Joh n R. Now who d o y o u really think that District num brer o ne p la t e belongs to? A rider who supports th e District o r one w ho spends m uc h of his time a t In d ian Dunes etc. at the money races?
