Werner was handlebars broke h alf. able to hold on to the stub and gingerly ab le to steer his bike around the track for the b ike t he fo r final lap. Watkins finished third overall . Wat kins th ird overall. Tom Rapp, back in town after a good go od showing on t he Al\lA tour , passed on the AMA tour, p assed Schutz in the first 250 moto. The p air th e m oto. pair left Ron DeSoto (C Z) , Bruce Baron Left R o n (CZ), Bru ce (R ic) and t he rest of the pack about 40 (Ric) the res t ab out seconds behind.
