By Dennis Greene WILLOW SPRINGS, CAL., Nov. 21, 1971 - There may have been another road race going on the same time in the road ra ce th e Southern California area but you sure ar ea y ou couldn't tell by the large entry for the Premier Helmet Grand Prix Road Race. A cold, stiff wind kept most spectators in their ca rs but this did not cars detract from the show. The wind carried alI at all the sound away and at times it was like looking at a silent movie in a drive-in. Out on the 2.5-mile c o urse there was on 2 .5-mile course a great deal of competition in all G.P. and Prod. classes. First overall was was young Jim Evans on a Mel Dinesen on tuned Yamaha.
