The last full week in August every
year a different breed of racing takes
place in a remote section of Utah. The
men and their machines gather from all
parts of the world to get it on heavily.
Land Speed Records is the name of the
game and top speed is how it is played.
Bonneville is the magic word which
conjurs up visions of high rpm's and
searing top speeds in the hearts of all
who have not been there.
For those who have made the journey
it recalls memories of suntan lotion,
cold suds and unbelievable glare.
To properly cover the seven days of
record breaking would take more space
than the yellow pages of a large
metropolis phone book. But well try on
pages 6 and 7.
Yvon OuHamel pulled a magnifieont wl. .to-wiro win on
eontondOll for tho upcoming Ontario 250 next month.
