Miller will be working with district managen throughout the ~ountry. Additional r~onsibilities mclude the sale of the company's line of motocross accessories. Miller comes to Hercules £ram Med International, Western distributor of Husqvama, where he bad been a sales representative for two yean. He has been riding s~cc: 1965 and is an Expert class desert nder. He has competed in the Baja 1000, the Baja 50Cl, the Mint ~, an~ the Bantow-to-Vegas race, and fmlShed 1ft the first ten in aD of them. lall Willis Transfers Well By ElaineJones PERRIS, CAL., July 31, 1971 - Tad Willis, who received his Perris transfer papen last week, came out tonight and showed some of the finest 100-125cc Amateur-Experts going, the way home. Rob Morrison, after having bike problems, came on strong but missed by a few points when the results we,re tallied. Rex Hailey turned the throttle on fuJI to take the 125cc Novice II class. Rex put it to another Robb, Stev. Walt Foster has buill himself a Yamaha dream machine and showed the boys what it could do in the Amateur moto. Second and third place finish en Ron McDaniels and Jack McCafferty, both consistent fmishen, had problems trying to find his line and with his drives down the straightaway it was a problem just staying with him. Vince Graves came off a long dry speD to take the Expert moto. Vince claims he lacks the stamina to hang strong for three laps but watching him with his full lock slides it's hard to believe. Maico mounted Tom Jarnagan and Rob Morrison nailed down the second and third place slots. Novice moto A saw Rick Bair and Gary Cowden mix it up pretty good. Gary would get the lead off the line and hold it for the flJ'St lap but couldn't stand the pressure from Rick. Rick would take over and that would be it. Harold HoUaday tried to apply the same pressure with Gary but wasn't successful and he settled for third. Doug Mason did his thing in the 250cc Amateur-Expert class and Terry Stanford was on hand to challenge. Terry is one of the most improved riders going and may prove to be Doug's downfall. Tom Avion hit for the long overdue win in the 250cc Novice III go. Tom almost blew it when Rick Hutchins decided it would look nice with his name on it. The two of them went at it hard but Tom managed to suy in front when it counted. Dennis Junker, who had bike problems all night, eame up with the third spot. Stew Cox made an appearance after a long absence and showed the boys he hadn't forgotten a thing as he won the 250cc Novice I class over Dan Johnson and John Lowe. Frank Schnetz is starting to feel right at home in the 175-200 class as he picked up the trophy. Tim Holm, always a rider to be reckoned with, was second and Rex Hailey gave it a try for the ftrst time and came in third. (Results on page 28) Guy R.
