Cliff Brown and Steve Pergin rounded out the field. Rex Hailey is getting closer to a Perris Amateur rating as he came through for three straight and the win in the third 100cc Novice class. Dan Johnson didn't follow in brother's footsteps and held it together for the second spot. Little Steve Sisco who has been trying so hard, so long, came out sporting Gene Romero white leathers and started riding like him to take the third spot and a place in the result column.
