SILENT SPARK ARRESTER
J&R
now
makes a spark
arrester/silencer combination that is so
small and light it can fit most any
machine. Besides being forest Service
approved, it cuts ~oise appreciably.
It's lIY," long by 2" diameter and
weighs but 20 oz. The spark arrester
part is the successful Krizman design
and mated behind it is J&R's own
.famous straigh t-through silencer. The
silencer part can be rebuilt with a $2.50
kit should it ever become necessary.
Cycle News dyno tests have shown
little power di.fference between this unit
and an open expansion chamber.
Generally there was a slight loss at
extreme high RPMs but a marked
increase in mid-range horsepower.
