This is Bill's second third place in a row. First Junior in was Ralph Garrett on a Husky, who couldn't quite .keep Bogner behind ,him on the second loop. The bike began coming in bunches now and everyone was watching for the various class winners. First Open Expert was Gene Smith on a Triumph, while Yamaha rider Dennis Tooman was first 250 Jr. Third plus riders came and went without a trailbike amon?;st them. RAndy Milligan, Harley, who had been running about 20th at mid,point, had fallen back but was still at the head of the trailbikes. Cordis Brooks, this year's Hodaka ace was in second while Alan Lund was third on a Sachs. Terry Clark and Mitch Mayes both broke their bikes and were unable to finish. The first Jr. Trail biker was Rick Jensen and righ t behind was the first gal rider, Patti Clagg on a new Rickman. The Novices began coming in somewhere around No. 100, reflecting that 25 minute late start. Bob Willis, ,..
