1971 - The Bob Keys, junior and
senior, riding with numbers 3E
and 3H won the Sawmill Enduro
losing only 6 points each over the
73.4 mile course. The start-finish
was at Middle Creek Camp
Grounds about 25 miles east of
Ukiah, California.

Boris Murray grabbed an upset
victory from heavily favored Dave
Campos in the final round of the
Top Fuel Eliminations here to
climax the Second Annual United
States Fuel and Gas Motorcycle
Nationals. Top Gasser was Sonny
Routt riding an earth-shaking
1500cc two-engined Triumph.
