F or the Experts, three of the traps
were downhill'"to uphilL loops On a 30

end of the first round, the needles had
been displaced to present the riders with
glare iced off camber turns. But the
most difficult trap was a 50 yard long
climb up a 40 degree rock slab covered.

25 marks, followed by Brokaw with 26.
Neigenfind had 22 marks and one ride
left up the rock. The event and the
championship hung on his performance
in the single ride. Going for broke, he
demonstrated superb technique, cleaned

the trap, and won it all. Picking up the
fmal medal for the Experts was W.
Wagner,fMon) with a 39.
Semi·Experts, riding with the
Experts, were topped by D. Hedwall
Oss) with 45, succeeded by D. Bruner
Bul), D. Bottoms (Mon), R. Bright
Mon), B. Webster (Mon), J. Gibbs
Bul), and W. Jantz (Mon), in a class
with a large turnout.
The Novices, competing' in the cool
morning, had another large turnout,
even with the proximity to Christmas.

The winner here was D. O'Brecht with a
very low 12 marks. He was distantly
followed by R. Bransberg with a 27, and
~J. Harvey with a 32.
The area in which the trials were held
is particularly nice, and has now been
used three times. The owners of the Inn
allow free use of their ample and rugged
property, and in tum supply a ready
place for refreshments and a good warm
fire after the meet. We look forward to
the next event at this location.
