I t was a combined affair in the running of the 260 Novice and Expert. The Novice division found John Roberts (~us) out in front of Ray Lopez (Mai) WIth Glenn Anderson (Mon) in third. All three put on a good show as the final laps found Lopez and Anderson closing on Roberts. But time ran out with Roberts taking the win. J.L. Siebrant (Gre) had a big lead over Derek McLeish (Yam) in the Expert category. With all the big bore machines run together, Marshall Jennings (Hus) held ?n for the win with Rick Remelin (Hus) III second and m third was M. Stoner (Mai). The weather was near perfect and found a large turnout of riders and spectators eagerly on hand. The 100 Novice was a twenty-minute goodie as R. Sloppy (Sac), Dale Walter (Sac), and B. McDougal (Yam) all stayed grouped up running hard. Sloppy got in front and was able to hang on for the win. R. Downing (Hod), Mike Brown (Hod), and Greg Hagen (Hod), battled it out in the 100 Expert, to a finish as • RUSTY BRADLEY: National Winner. 1:- Daytona, Fla. - Road Race - shown in the results. As the 125 Novices swarmed to the starting line, Joe Raines (Yam) grabbed the lead with Bob Hansen in second and third was Chuck Justice (Yam). Raines was just able to hold off Hansen to get the win. Going into the fmal event, the standings were like this: Race number one found Ted Rogers with the win, second belonged to Tony Nowak, and back in third was Tom Larsen.
