the winner by less than two feet over
Richard Feist on the Crowell Cycle
Norton.

The race started wth 2 of the 3 front
row bikes not firing up so everybody
had to weave his way through the pack.
The other front row bike was a Hollda
750 beloaging to Art Chambers, who
led for the frrst four laps before b,eing
passed by Feist. The Norton held the
lead for the next two laps, while Pat
Evans was making his charge. He. took
the lead on t~ seventh lap, only to be
repassed by Feist. Then, on the last lap
going into tum 2, Feist was boxed in by
Evans and Chamber, and was UBabIe to
get a good drive up the hill. 'Ibis ClI;URd

Evans win by a hair.
