It was the third 50-lap main win of the year for Scott, putting him on the pedestal alone for this achievement. Earlier, the Trojan star had won the 125cc Flat Track Main, again Tounted on his mighty Bul. Horton had gained most of the awards prior to Scott's win as he rode his Kawasaki to three IT trophy dash wins as well as a checkered in the 250cc IT action. In the 50-lap main he finished fourth. Redding's second place finish in the 50-lapper was only ex<;lled by his f'U"St placer in the 100cc Flat Track event. The last 50-lap winner,Dale Hopkins, finished third behind Scott and Redding this time around, and also picked up a fourth in the 125 Flat Track. The only other winner during the night's bill was Charles Gunn in the 250 Flat Track Main and Trophy Dash. (Results on page 22) .
