AlthouRh Bill Silvethorn wasn't on hand, Gene Fetty was. The 250 Expert class was won by CZ mounted John Rubick, who won two of the three motos. Rubick also would have won the 125cc Expert class, except for a DNF in the first moto. First place in that event went to Yamaha mounted, Paul Brinkman. SAN GABRIEL, CALIF., Aug. 30, 1970 - Speedway fans were treated to a 22-race show under the bright sun and tops for the day was the all out dirive of Jim Nicholson to be number one this year in,the Handicap Main. Added fun came in a match race between Jeff Word and Jay Cox with Word having the final word. Next Sunday at 3 p.m. will be another top program for the fans' enjoyment.
