WILSON STOPS HART IN ASCOT MX ACTION By Eric Raits GARDENA, CALIF., July 16, 1970--Torrenee's Jim Wllson continued to frustrate Tim Hart atAscotPark's Thursday nlght motocross. Wllson, was nearly nawless, beating Hart five out of six times for overall wins in 250 and 500 Expert and Intermediate classes. Hart overcame early leads by young desert ace, Jeff Wright and took three wins in the 125 Expert classonanAmerican Eagle. Wright was harried throughout by Bob Messer, perhaps being pushed into mistakes that kept him out of the top three. Messer was second, followed by John Maynard and Wright. Seven 125 junior races provided six winner; M. Garrett the only rider w1nn1ng twice but coming in second overall behind the steady riding of Kevin Porter. Dewayne Jones made a shambles of his . class, the 100 junlors, with three runaway wins. Bob Davis took a pair of easy wins in his 500 junior preliminaries and then a second behind Mike Dalley in the finai to again take the class win. In tile flnai, Bob stailed his engine on the TT jump coming to the flag and had to push to niP Mik Koplin. Dailey and Mike Casper tied for second in this class whlleArtAmar!llas was fourth. All four won at least one moto. Four 250 jr. divisions funneled the top finishers from each into one crowded confrontation to end the night. Robin Bellach had a pair of wins in his division, John Hawthorne brought a first and a second, Dick Macormic had a first and a third, and Dave Pessey also claimed a Tim Hart had a miserable time against Jim Wilson, Thursday, but not during this particular race as Hart holds slight pair of firsts.
