Amateur-EJPerl Open were the two most
impressive showings at the 'Ib1rd Annual
All States CbamploDshlPs held bere Saturday and today.
Petty made his tlrst steP toward the
triple by taIdng the l25cc event tram
Gene Canady (Sac) and Lars Larson
(Pen} while rldlnC a Sachs.
The second step came later on Saturday when be repeated with Canady (Sac)
for one-two flnlsbes In the 250cc class.
In this race, Petty used a Malco while
Dan Hackle, who flnlsbed third, sat on
an Ossa.
Today. a tight battle with Larson ensued In the 500cc race, but Petty (Ric)
was the eventual winner with Lars (Mal)

Larson'S trouble ended when he
changed to a newly designed 50lcc Malco,
