ON FORM Rick Woods continued his domination of local 'speedway action, here leading Handicap Main. proficient. It is getting more and more impossible for the big ha1Idicap riders to make it around them to four short laps. It was Mike Keene in theleadf1rst, but working his way around him and taking it for the remainder of the race was Rick Blake who moved up to the regular program after making a good showing in the second division main last week. With Blake taking the win, it was Ron Miller who journeys down from Lancaster every week working his way up toa second spot with Dennis GUdehaus following him for third. Mike Keen had dropped back to fourth ahead of Gary Fishburn and Jim Anderson. The Scratch main event lined up Il-ick Woods, Bill Cody, Stu Morley and Mike Konle. As the flag went Up, it was Morley, Woods, and Cody into the corner s.de by side and so close they were bumping elbows. The crowd was on its feet as Cody drifted a tittle wide and Morley kept it inside to pull into the lead coming out of the f1rst corner. Woods was on the outside of Morley and it was expected that he would drop back and try to get a wheel under Stu as they came into the next corner. Much to everyone's surprise and to the crowd's deUght, Woods just turned it on and stayed on the outside and charged around Morley in the next corner on the outside and with a terrif1c charge down the straight, he took over the lead. Cody was able to power around Morley as was his teammate Mike Konle, but there was no catching Woods as he stretched his lead out every lap to take the win. The word in that next week, the Bast brothers wID be back, so this should really make for races that you don't want to miss. (Results on page 22) Ron Mi lIer Ie ads Scott Autrey through corner.
