The order was reversed in the first

HOSTS 116
AT ENDURO
EVERETT, WASH, June 14,19'70- The
Everett Motorcycle Club' presented another enduro run, which was 80 mUes of
trails, brush, water, mud and scenery at
Reiter Pit, approximately flve mUes
east of Startup, Washington. The pit 15 a
popular area for western Washington dirt
riders. It rained lightly, just enough to
settle the dust and make good traction.
There were four cJa,sses and a Powder
Puff. Two girls rode the Powder Puff,
and only one f1n1shed. Meva Bowman was
really tired when she finished; she had
ridden the same course as the men on a
250 Yamaha. The other girl rider was
Tammy Sessions, who raced last season
at the indoor track at Woodinv1lle, Washington. She had bike troubles with her
175 Ossa and did not f1n1sh.
There were 116 riders signed up 1Xl
ride. Some came in a Uttle wet, from
several creek crossings, but they seemed
to enjoy the ride. One rider who had a
m1shap crossing a creek, rode on in to a
gas stop, filled his gas tank, then he lay
on the ground with his feet in the air so
the wafer poured out of his boots, picked
himself up off the ground, and rode on.
The course was well marked, and many
riders compUmented the club on the way
it was marked and said it was a beautiful
ride. The EMC sincerely tries to put on
the best rides possible.
