~HUPKINS-wINS AT TROJAN CI) :it: t.:I ~ t.:I -.l U G By Eddie Smith SOUTH GATE, CALIF. June 4, 1970Dale Hopkins was the winner of three races Thursday night at Trojan Speedway. Dale rode a Yamaha to victory In the 125 flat track trophy dash, the 125 flat track MaIn and the 125 TT MaIn Event. Hopkins beat Jim Tabler to the finish line In the 125 flat track MaIn Event with Dennis Hanson third. The 125 TT MaIn Event had to be restarted three times due to accidents. On the first start two bikes came together In the first turn of the dog leg. On the restart Allen Swett collided with another bike. Swett was helped from the track, but was later walking around with a few bruises. (SOx) Hanson, and Tom (93x) Wanen mix it uP. Jimmy Stein guns his Maico over the jump on his way tovietory in the 2SOTT. On the third start of the race Deonis Hanson lost his Yamaha In the first turn and went down. Hanson was then hit by another bike and the race was stopped again. With the fourth start of the race Hopkins jumped Into the lead to stay. Hanson followed trying to catch Hopkins. Hanson settled for a second place fIn1sh with third going to Danny Hart. Jack Dannenberry won the 100 'M' MaIn Event mounted on a Suzuki. Bob Brooks was second and Tom Horton third. Malco mounted Jimmy Stein was the winner of the 250 TT MaIn Event. Tom Horton placed second on an AJS followed by Irwin MOOD. In the 250 TT trophy dash that was won by Bob Byers, Stein lost it In a turn and hit the dirt. Stein also took to the
