The race was to have been a Hare and Hound but it seems there was a problem with a small piece of the land at the last minute" so they were unable to use that course. To save a wasted trip for the long distance riders, they threw a very successful motocross . Someone suggested a hundred mile motocross at the riders' meeting but even though motorcyclists are tough so was the course. The S-turns and steep downhill grades made it easy to get Into the first water crossing, but the getting out was a little rough with bikes and riders bouncing every which way. The Interesting part ot the second mud hole was a tricky upgrade and a hard left. This section got more interesting as the day went on. The mud got deeper and so seemed a three toot drop-off on the other side. A sandy straight-away was the closest thing to speed on the track, but hairpin turns, rough hoop-de-des and a third mud hole that needed to be paddled through, slowed everyone down a mite. Thanks to the Trailblazers a r ace, and a good one, was put on despite their trouble. This motocross was dlUerent but thoroughly enjoyed by the versatile desert riders .
