The Hack race Is usually more fun to
watch than almost any oUter race during
Ute day. When Ute hacks run on a course
filled wlUt loose hills and places not
quite wide enough for two hacks It Is
especlally interesting.
The BSA rig of Ralph Whitney and
Tommy Lee Cook led Ute first few laps
but Tommy kept s macking his ribs on
Ute new passenger bar Utey had just
bull t, "It's too low," he said holding his
stomach after Utey dropped out of Ute
race. " I kept banging Into It until I
couldn't hold on anym ore." While Utey
were still on Ute course Utey went slower
and slower until Utey were passed by Ute
