Another Montesa, ridden by Mike Runyard, managed two firsts, three seconds and a third, for second place overall . honors In these two Expert divisions. The course was super fast, and the sunny weather made the day Ideal for both rider and spectator, alike. B. McDouglass (Hodaka) carried off a 100Cc Jr. class win, ahead of J ~ Boldt, also on a Hodaka, And an up and coming contender, R. Rowe, look third on h1s Hodaka. M. Rick (BuI) led all three 125 sv; Dlv. I molo's but only managed a win in the second moto, In the first and third motos he fell victim 10 the challenging course, but look a 2nd behind R. Maeda (BuI) . Gary Ryder (Sacs), grabbed the win in the second division of the 125 Jr. competition, while Dave Boydstrom (Yam) won second. In the first moto, Ryder took an easy first ahead of Boydstom. MIke Cram (Cara), who eventually took a class 3rd, was leading the second molo but spun out. Ryder & Boydstom were back In fifth and sixth. Boydstom spun out, givIng Ryder a good f1n1sh position. In the final round Cram came out again in the lead and held on for a win over Ryder. J. Rubcle (CZ) led all three 250 Jr. Division I moto-s, In the first molo he lost a counter shaft sprocket nut, but took a second, a first and an overall class second, behind R. Benites and h1s new Improved Penton out of a 125 Expert class win. D. Emler (Amer. Eagle) look a class third.
