In the last moto of the day, GrossI held 1st place on the long dusty track from the start, A race for second, howeve~ had developed between Brad14cky(C-",) and Ron Stockman. Stockman fell and Brad took over, But when the sheets were tall1ed Stockman came uP to 2nd and Lacky won are, By Lyn Jensen Lacky also rode a 125 Sachs In the 250 class and took a first, with Phll Jacobson C-Z mounted, the ma!n competltor, snatchlng 2nd, Jacobson got an excellent start In the last moto and streaked way uP front , But Lacky soon got 1t on, and managed to put himself out front. He reta!ned h1s lead the rest ' of that moto, Bobby Noble stole the show on a C-Z In the 250 Jr, Dlv, 1, whlle Chris Carter (Maico) dug lnto first In Dlv, II. The 250 motos kept every r ider on hls toes as r iders battled it out from 1st to last place, Bob Doran (Ossa) had a good ride and took 2nd Jr. Div,II, with Ray Atkinson's Husky gettlng the honor In Dlv, I, The 500 Jr, leaders were back and forth, with Richard McCr eady on a Husky f1nally- fin Ish Ing 1st, and h1s contender, Bruce KeUy, also a Husky rIder, taking 2nd.
