DAYTONA, Mar. 15 - Averaging a
fantastic 102.69 mph on a Honda
racing 750 Four, Dick Mann streaked
to victory in this biggest of all U. s.
motorcycle races - the Daytona 200.
Both man and machine performed perfectly. There was never one sign of
trouble from the mighty 750 and Mann
took advantage of it. He grabbed the
lead on the 32nd lap of the 53-lap race
and was never' headed. Victory was
sweet. Mann and his 750 topped a field
of the world's best bikes and riders.
Daytona is a tough test for the riders,
but it's an even tougher test for the
bikes. To win, it takes a precisionbuilt machine with all the latest innovations in motorcycle design. .
