High Point Trophies PresentedAt Perris Conclav~~ F r i day night aboutfifty peopl e were honor ed by the Burtons for their help during the season and their riding ability at th e Perris Recr eational Center The Hi-Point trophies were awarded to the rider in each class who amassed the greatest numbe r of points. Skip Gallagher a local talent f r om Riverside started things off by taking the honors in the 50c c Class. When not winning Hi-point trophies he works for Skip Fordyce. F or sure he 'll be back next season. Mark Revels a fourteen year old from Whittier topped off his first season of competition by topping all comers i n the IOOcc Novice class . Doug Mason who rides, rides, rides is a fifteen year old from Colton who put it to the lOOcc Amateur, Experis and collected all the marbles . Hank Scott a fifteen y ear old from Baldwin Park was the be st 125cc Amateur-Expert. He didn't r i de many night races but when he did he made it count. Kevan Larick a first season r ider came ou t only a few times but like Hank m ad e them count and took the 175cc class. Kevan hails f r om Ontario so it is a pretty safe bet he'll be back defending his title this season. Dan Kegler an eighteen y ear ol d f rom Palos Verdes is a three year Perris veteran. He rides hard and falls hard but this year he did less falling and won the 200cc class. Bob Greenstreet, alias, " Yellow Bush" is over twenty-one and calls Rialto home. Bob poured it on this season and besides winning the 250cc Novice class he changed the color of his plates. Bob Kllne a sixteen year old first season rider f r o m Riverside earned a Perris Amateur rating and set all kinds of records as he rode to victory in th e 25Occ · Amateur-Expert class. Bob had a streak of nine consecutive wins which no on has come close to . Bruce Prior made the trip from Oceanside all but one Saturday night as he captured the 350cc Novic e class.
