Feb. 15, 1970 - The Lightweights M.C. ran their race on a rough track that had lots of water, making for some very Interesting spilis. The 125cc Am .lEx. was a three way race between Gary Jones, Gary Batley and John Rice. Gary Jones (Yamaha) managed to break away from the other riders to take home the gold. The power of positive thinking was proven In the first division of the 125cc Novice. Wally Gorden managed to crash In two of his Motos, but st1Il managed to come from behind and take the win. Tom Sanders and Skip Porter ran second and third. Jim LeBlanc was the man to beat In the second division 125cc Novice. George 250 riders pack Into one of the banked Perri s turns.
