o ..... picked up his fourth win In a row In the 125cc T.T. class. Joe Monohan, the only new winner, rode his Yamaha in the 100cc T.T.class to capture the Trophy Dash and the Maln. Th e flat trackers were In fine form with Scott Autrey taktng the 125cc class In a run-away. Larry Shaw had a big night. After putting on a half-Urne show on his class A bike, Larry got back on his Bultaco and took the checkered flag in both the 250cc Feature and the Trophy Dash. Jan. 30- Irwin Moon started the . new winter season with the hottest winning streak In his three years of racing. Irwin took first place In the Trophy Dash and his flfth straight win In the Main Event of the 250cc T.T. class. When the flagman dropped the flag, Moon was first off the line, but he found himself thlrd Into the first turn. Campbell, 'H olbert Star Iii Texas By John Blanton SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, January 25, 1970 - Texas' first AMA points motocross of the season was held today in SanAntonio by the Alamo Cycle Association, and notable performances of the day were turned In by Association co-rounder Bennie Campbell and by Austtn's Robi Holbert. Following the running of the 125cc Junior heat, Campbell set the prace In the 125cc Senior heat that he was to matntain throughout the day as he clinched the tiUe with three wins on his Yamaha, easily outdistancing runners uP Eric Lloyd, Yamaha, and J~ck Hicks, Penton. Fourth overall In the class was Bob Howard, American Eagle, who has just advanced himself UP from the Junior division after his winatAusttntwoweeks previous . In similarly dazzling style, Robl HOlbert (Ossa), swept the 250cc Senior ASTRODOME RACERS: class with three wins, pulling extravaant wheelies out of the sllghtest..chug holds In the track and increasing his lead over John M1ller, Bultaco, and Carolos Ramirez, American Eagle, who staged a conttnutng batUe for second place. Hal Stockton (Yamaha) was fourth . The 200cc Senior class was run concurrently with the "250", and the winner was Harold GaWn, Yamaha, over tl:e remaining finishers Bob Korth, Bultaco, Nick Nicholson, Honda, and Joey Ferrell, Yamaha. Winners In the sparsely populated 500cc Senior class were Floyd Dunn, American Eagle, Mark Carbonie, Bultaco, Barry Woods, Husqvarna, and Dean Burton, BSA. In concurrent heats the 125cc and 250cc Junior classes were run for novice riders, and 125cc winner was James Tucker (Kawasaki), and 250cc winner was Francis Wilson (Yamaha) .
