MILLER COPS SCOTT TRIAL FOR BULTACO Sammy Miller is in the news again. The .. old pro" has just pulled ott another win on what has otten been described as the toughest one day trial of them all. The immortal Scott Trial has been running since 1927 when it was f1rst organized by Mr. Alfred Scott as a test for the Scott Motorcycle Owner's Club. This trial is a type unknownin the United States in that it combines the scores earned on observed sections with additional scoring based on the fastest man around, not unlike motocross. The system is to take the time of the !irst man !1n1shed and then penalize all the other riders for each minute longer that they take. The end result is a four hour motocross with observed sections along the route. This is Sammy's 6th win for this classic and his third consecutive win on his Bultaco. Total points lost by Sam were 68 with second and third, Gordon Farley and Daye Thorpe, eacb losing 92. mUL.T~CO --- UPSWfPT, TUNfD EXPANSION CHAMlfIS. ANY MODn.
