Over 300 riders signed up for the sllghtlydusty but much Improved cour s e. Three reasons for the turn out could be the free beer all day, the prize money paid the Seniors or the team challenge race. Rudy Draco Motorcycles (Maico, Suzuki) did a good turn to the sport of motocross by challenging other shops to beat their team . There were a few problems about who was ellglble to enter but the team races were a huge success. 'The Yamaha of Thousand Oaks relied 'heavily on the Bastbrothers for their win overall. But with Jim Dawson and Larry Shoemaker riding regularly for them was It really necessary to recruit the Bast talent? The second place team was the chall e nging R&D team.
