Jan. 11, 1970 - The CMC opened up their 1970 season at Carlsbad with a record entry. Up until this past Sunday entries had been in .the neighborhood of 250, but 1970 broughton an all time high of 352. There would have been many more, but they were turned away, even though some offered to pay entry fees as high as $20. mendous job. Roach finished second but Pritzereuter's biggest problem came in the second leg when C. Brouck took the lead from him twice. The CMC has added a 100cc Jr. class for the new year, and this added another three races to the already busy schedule, making a total of 36 events for the day. -... ,.'...
