to win the Open Senior class on his C-Z ""
'at the Poso Park motocross, Dec. 21st. ...
Mark got rOrnDg after he loaded on the
start, then passed the others and flew
by the checkered flag with a good margin.
Jim Rose broke the Mateo parade on
his Husky in the Open Junior class by
taldng 5th while Mateo riders too the
1st through 4th and 6th places.
indy car driver George Snider proved
he could tool a two wheeler in the Open
Junior class. George lost it in the last
moto in the slldy section of the esses,
but got up fast and made it back t'o place
second, just behind Jim Hessick.
Rick Mears, riding a Bultaco, showed
the same w1nn1ng habits in taldng the
250 Junior class. He 'normally rides a
smaller bike, a Sachs, to first place.
Mateo rider Phil Taylor managed a
2nd in the 125 Junior D1v.-1 and 3rd in
the Open Junior.
The tough luck award must go to Tim
Hart who had to. sit out the afternoon
after a broken piston made him retire.
Over 170 riders appeared from all
over Callfornis for the K.C. TrailblaZers
motocross. The cool weather, the lack
of dust, the good crowd control, the excellent course, modified somewhat to
offer more of a challenge, and the fine
riders made the race a real success.
