Dec. 12, 1969Kawasak1 dominated the 100cc Class at the South Gate T. T. with !tve of the !1rst six poslt1ons, as Bill Dobbs overtook Bob Brook ln a hot ma1n event. Tbey didn't bave Jim Raymond to lead them around this time because he bad run into a Uttle engine trouble ln this class and couldn't keep up the pace. Jim Ray"mond came back stong on h1s 125cc Yamaha to take that class way out ahead of Gregg Edans, alsoona Yamaha, followed by Gary Hardin aDd Ralpb Mulbolland who ran 3rd and 4th on thelr Yamahas. Head of the Moon clan, Irwin Moon (father of two racing sons), showed them just what experience aDd ah1Uty 15 all about when be came out on lop with the 250CC win and trophY. The 250Cc T.T. bas been won by Jim Raymond on a Montesa for the best part of the season, but tb1s time be sbeared off the nuts and bolt of b1s rear sprocket ln one of the beat ntces, then bad to ride a seml for the first time in many months on an Ossa. He bad some trouble with the sh1ttlng pattern but stIlI won this event. Raymond's luck didn't bold up ln the ma1n. At the flag be was well to the rear of the pack. Not to over look the Flat Trackhc1ng - 11 too bad a new winner in the 100Cc class with Allen Swett on an Cimattt taId.ng borne the bacon. Kawasak1 took the next four spots. Again maIdng those gears work, Jim Raymond turned on to win the 125cc flat track, and t1nally won the 250Cc ma.1n eveot on the Ossa.
