Troy McKee, leader In the newly formed ultra lightweight division, has a narrow lead over Lightweight Steve Nichols with Larry Taylor (Jackrabbits) leading the lightweight division. The balance of the top ten places are still a close battles as the year ends. The heavyweight division Is even closer as Chuck Wheat, present leader, may end the four storke supremacy of the heavyweight division. ChuckanddadC.H. along with Jim Connelly, now campalgn on very fast two storkes. As a special attraction the Lightweights will offer 'a Mini Bike race split In two divisions, for kids under 12 and 12 to 80 years old. More special features are to be added later. All AMA club members will get a 50 cent discount on their entry when presenting an up to date membership card. The Lightweights expect another large turn out but still promise plenty of track time as usual. TROJAN ENTERPRIZES SE TS FLORIDA INDOOR RACE DATE Indoor racing goes to the Southeastfor the first time with a March 9th racing date In the plush Jacksonville, Florida Memorial Coliseum. Don Brymer" President of Trojan Enterprizes and the man most responsible for starting the Indoor racing trend a few years ago at Long Beach, Cal.\fornia, has obtalned an official AMA sanction for the event. The races will be held In Jacksonville on Monday night, March 9th. It Is also the first day of ,the official Daytona Speedweek. The annual 200 mile national at the Speedway will run the following Sunday after the indoor events In Jacksonville. A guaranteed purse of $1200.00 has been posted by Brymer for, the new first time event. After the Monday night race, the rider s will then head for nearby Daytona and compete In three more short track races on the, outdoor quarter mile In Daytona. With a total of four short track races in less than a week, Brymer expects to draw over 100 riders for his first Indoor show In Jacksonville. Interested parties may contact TrOjan Enterprizes at 1540 W. 9th St., Long Beach, California 90813. The event will be run under regular AMA short track rules with a limit of 250cc machines for the race.
