The CMC can boast many firsts to Southern CallfOrn1a motocross and their first two years have done much for the SPOrt. Their membersb1p topped the one tbou8and mark a month ago, and it appears tIlat 1970 wW usher to even grealier gatos. Due 10 the cotnclt!l~ Inter-Ams the Senior classes .are st11l quite small but the Junior classes are still as blIP as ever. Two dlvisiODS were run for each Junior class' but the 125, 250 and '50llec Senior classes were all combined. The 125cc Juniors started the day's action, with B. Holcomb maIdng a clean SVie8P of all three motos on his Penton to win the first dlvts1on. The second dlvtsion also fell 10 a PenlDn, as Bruce Harber, from Las Vegas, picked off two first and a tblrd 10 take the win. R. Fortier and his C-Z juSt flat ran awv,y from everyone to the second 250cc dlvision. He took all three motos without ever being challenged, and second place V. Bowalda couldn't even keep bim to s1gbt. L. Pfutzenretuer brought bis Bultaco to for the win to the first 250cc division, and B. Brown followed bim for second. The first 500cc Junior dlvision was captured by B. Campbell on a Husky, with G. Graham talking second on a Ma1co. L. Watldns grabbed uP the win to the second division, and A. Enders snatcbed second on a Bultaco. Since all the Sentor classes ran together, the 125cc riders were given a bead start of about half a lap. The 250s ABOVE: P. In the first molD, Greaves-mounted Jlm W1lson bad 10 follow Crippa's Sachs for eleven laps before be could take the lead. The second two big bikes were E.P. DeBenedett1 and Eddle Mulder.
