Word has just been received by Don England, owner and operator of the new motocross track being built at Huntington Beach Cycle Park, Cal, that the A.M.A. has granted them a sanction for the event so that motocross points may be awarded to the winner. Mr. England says that time is growing short for the entries to bemailedin.so1! any riders are planning on attending, they should fill out the entry blank printed in tb1s week's paper and mail it in. Mr. England also stated that he has given a large block of tickets to the Huntington Beach Boys Club and all proceeds from the sale of these tickets by the boys will go into the club treasury to help purchase needed items for the club. It 15 things like tb1s that help put out a good image for motorcycles. TEAM BULTACO ENTERS MEXI CAN 11110 Team Bultaco has entered six motorcycles in the Mexican 1000 being run October 29, and 30. This race is sald to be the "Toughest Run Under the Sun" starting in Ensenada and running the complete length 01. Baja CalUornla to La Paz. Plan calls lor three 360cc El Bandidos and three 250cc PurSangs making the run. The lead BuItaco w111 be handled by the current race record holders and last year's winners Larry Bergqu1stand Gary Preston. The other 360' s w111 be handled by Rich Thorwaldson - Charlie Hockie, and John Coots - Bruce Dunford. Six top riders will also make uP . the three 250 teams. They include Jack Froelich - Gary Gr1!f1n, Bud WeltyGary Lel\POld, and Doyle Fields - Dlck Dean.
