Bob Ferro (TrIumph) who had been going so well in the first one, got away dead last but worked uP the hard way to a thlrd with Don Dudek winning It, ahead of Tom Clark. It was to be Ted Sloan's nigbt however, and he took home the big trophy, followed in by Loogwith, Hately and Kenyon. Mulder had earned the pOle but once again dec11ned to rlde, so the first alternate, David Aldana and the only Amateur in the llne uP fllled in.
