compression boost to 10.5. add alloy
wheels for 1 mph. 2 mph for close ratio
gears and 5 mph for the aerodynamics
of the fairing.
That accounts for 17 mPh, or 132 mph.
but wI1at about Gould's Bonneville that
clocked 140 mph? Ah yes, one less tooth
on the rear sprocket which must add UP
to 8 mph.

cooled job. Ossa's engines are a straightforward design. Air cooled, six speed
and slightly over-square bore and stroke•
What accounts for the high horsepower is
the giant porting. Carburetor 15 a whopping 1-5/8' and would be bigger It one
was made. Horsepower is quoted as 4042 and considering its speed it does not
seem unreasonable.
