Engine mounting leaves room for over and under routing of expansion chambers. BUILD YOUR OWN WHEELS M&W Engineering of Montclair, Cal. has introduced a complete front or rear wheel in kit form. The front wheel is priced at $39 and t:,e rear wheel is $57. A choice of 36 or 40 spokes is offered, using a 15 or 17mm axle. YAIIAHA CONSTRUCTS NEW TEST COURSE Yamaha Motor Company, Ltd. bas recently completed construction of a new million-dollar test course, located about 30 mJles northeast of the Yamaha main factory in Hamaldta, Japan. The course itself, roughly 8-sbaped with an overpass, Is 5,240 meters long. It was destened espec1aUy to test drive new veblcles, production models, etc., and bas a width rangtng from 20 to 40 meters lnc1uding a i!'een belt, a 1,400 meter straight run and a 20 meter radius balrpin turn. Parallel to the course is a dirt track which can be used to test commercial motorcycles onder adverse r08d coad1tioos. METISSE ROAD RACER CHASSIS FOR SUZUKI 500/FIVE Rickman Brothers, of England, wellknown for their custom Metisse scrambier, r08d racer and: street frames, have added to the line with a newly developed road racer chassis. Designed to use a Suzuld 500cc - five-speed englnegearbox, frame 15 constructed of Reyn- Chambers are not included, as most tuners prefer to build to their own specifications. Choice of fuel tanks includes standard tank of approximately five gallons or Daytona-type of nearly 7 gallons. Fiberglass fairing is two-piece, and may be ordered in matchlng or contrasting colors.
