expenses bad been paid. $4,047.96 was
tile proceeds for tile CUy of HoPe National Medical Center at Duarte, CaillorDia.

proud recipients as tIIey bad to be earned
by lndlvldDal achievement In competition.
In recent years, tile RRC Fathers award
tile rare beautiful torcb trophies to tIIose
who worked very hard to earn tbe recognition and tben, to quote tbe Executive
Coordinator, "Slap tbem In tbeface," by
giving identical awards to riders who
have done no more to earn tIIem tbanfind
tIIelr way to tile proPer town and pay tile
required entry fee.

The Image of. tbe motorcyclists was
vastly Improved this year by tbe absence
of tbe serape and sissy-bar set. Word
had gone Qut tbat tbey were not welcome
and several were turned awayattbepark
by tbe RRX's "Public Relations Committee" who had tbe full cooperation of
tile local police autbor1tes.
Most riders questioned, were satisfied
wltb tbe tour and planned to return for
tbe lOtb Spring Tour next year. Mel
Heininger was very pleased and on bebalf
of. tbe patients and statf of the City ol
Hope thanked tbe riders tor tbeir suPport
and participation In tbe 9tbAnnDalSpring
Tour.
