Floyd's falber, after racing blltes about tile country for several years, opened an lnd1sn agency in El Centro, Calif. in 1913. Floyd grew up in a cycle shop and naturally carried on In the racing game which clima>:ed with his w1nn1ng the Daytona race in 1948 on an Indian. Wilb his Daytona wtnnIngs, Floyd opened an lnd1sn Agency in NatiooaJ City, calit. in May, 1948. The agency is still tile "main store" ot Floyd's everincreasing eba1n of dealersb1ps in San Diego County. Floyd bas remaJned active in raclng as advisor and tuner to his three racIDg lOllS. His oldest son, Robert, DO 1IlIIger races but manages ooe ot the stores in San Diego. No. 2 son Doois D01r 18 y-.rs old and is one ot tile more prom1sing young road racers in tile area.
