I, tak1ng pictures of everyooe that moved.
Calllt aver-enthusiasm or Iackofe:xperience or whatever, I II1lUIlIged to go
througb four rolls of 36 exposure fUm
with three races to go and no more film.
The races ·were run ott very quickly
and efficIentlY. A few spUls broke uP
several of the beats, ODe bike goIng ott
the north eDd, no damage except a twIsted wrist, wh1cb didn't keep bim out of the
balance <1 tile day's events.
Some of the younger riders were very
impressive in their particular style and
I would venture a guess that many lIOp
names in cycle racing w1lI be able to
trace tI1e1r origin to this track 1nAdelanto.
The layout <1 the track gives one the
impression that a great deal of skill is
required on some narrow parts and other
parts look 11ke they're just plain fun.
There is ooe tb1ng that Is for certain,
if you wanted to enjoy some motorcycle
racing or just sit and watch in a nice,
clean, warm ("breathe clear to your
toes") Idnd of atmospbere, Adelanto 011
Marcb 2, was the place.
