Jody bas been a cycllst s1Dce the Age of 12 when he bougbt his first hike. By the tender age of 16 he was In racing competition. At lbe Unlverslty of the South, Jody was an accompllshed concert vlollillst. He was a concert master on !be campus at tile same time be was building up his position as a leading motorcycle racer. HIs major In college was German llterature. He said be toot up lbe vloUn to please his parents, who have insisted on a music career for him. During the last year Jody has not been able to do much cycllng, as a member of the North Island-t.sed squadroo. But be has raced In several local events and competed In one national race. PALO ALTO, CAl.- John Perez, recently elected commissioner of Dtstrtct 36, died Feb. 5, five days before he was to take over the post. IDs passing Is mourned by famtly and friends.
