"We mus t realize that growth entalls responsibilities. It is necessary that we accept thes e r esponsibilities. A cohes ive group , able to speak to r our industry is essential. Other interested groups will not work with our separate fir ms , they insi st upon dealing with an organized group representing the industry! Explalning the al ms and ac compli shments at the CMSC, Mr. Hope sald, "We have concerned ourselves prtrnartly with the problem ot motorcycle safety as well as ideas to improve the situation. We believe that presently motorcycle driver tralning is the most cons tructi ve ans wer and we have done everything pos s ible to educate the public to that point or view and to ac tually imple ment motorcycle driver tralning at every opportunity." CMSC Accomplishments , " We have been cooperating with educators, legislators, civic groups and al l others who would listen. Thus tar we have: - organized the t1rs t motor cycle driver training cour se in the Los Angeles School system (conducted in the San Fernando VallY ). - attalned membership in the Calitornia Motor Vehicle Legislative Advisory Commi ttee . - worked with civic leaders in Glendale, Her mosa Beach and Pomona and with the PTA in promoting tralning and imichrome Shines SU ddenly .
