It s tates, quote "as a matter of fact, the number one desert trailblke r ider In the nation, Jack Morgan, is using one of Tom's pipes." unquote. Actually , Jack Morgan has used and tested Turne r ' s pipes In the pas t, but Morgan earned number one before ever using one of Turner 'S chamber s. The fact is he has been using his ownper sonally designed chamber for the last eight months . I know this to be true as Jack made the sam e chamber for my bike approx, four months ago. Tom Turner Is no doubt a fine twler, but Just give credit to whom credit1s due. For those who are Inter ested, Jack does all of his own main tenance and tuning on his bike. RON BURPO Torrance, Cali!. In BEGINNER' S COM MENTS Just flnished reading your report on the Antelope Ramblers' Hare and Hound, It was my fourth race, and best of all. I ride a Loblto " K" and find it to be a great bike. Racing with other 100cc bikes Is fun. I' d ha.te to see the day return when I would be going with big bikes. I'v e been In fr ont of slow rider s on ,u uphill trails and had to get of! and push. So I know how the big bike r iders feel . I get In their way on fast spots , and they get in my way on slow parts, and anyway, 1 like the neat trails they made for us . JIM P ETRIKIN Burbank, Cal . P.S. 50 miles is all I like ona liWe bike . C> ' - ~ . To those who may be Interested, the Hilltoppers M.C. DID ha.ve the race results at the July Hare Scr ambles to the Dis trict 37 Competi tion Committee Stewards within the two weeks period. What we did not include is the finisher list that is sen t to the ri der s which lets the riders know their overall posi tion and also where to pick up their trophies. ThIs last bit of infor mati on Is NOT necessary for the Committee Stewards to ha.ve In order to figure points for the rider s and was not Included as we had not yet received a date from the Trophy Company as to when the trophies would be finished. For this we lose our point runs??? Seems unfair.
