DM's Get The Word The two days we attended th e school were taken up in disassembly then assembly . The instructor, Len K1ng, of the Triumph factory in England, pointed out the new Innovation i n the three- cylinder with the DM 's taking notes and asking various questions as dIsassembly pr ogressed. The liberal use of oil seals and o-rmgs met with great approval. The unified thread on all bol ts and nuts was another fine improvement. New for the Trident engine is the dry heavy duty single plate dlaphragm clutch dri ven by a triple row primary cnatn, The gearbox bas a shorter maIn shaft and heavier layshaft with needle roller bearings. The alternator i s now located on th e timing si de for ease in timing. The newest feature i n the engine were the rings which are two thin compression rings and' a new web-type oil ring.
